As Hurricane Florence remains a Category 3 storm and is expected to produce catastrophic flooding and damage from wind speeds exceeding 74 mph, Culligan Cares is ready to help. In preparation, Culligan has provided 2 truckloads of water, which contain 3,024 cases (72,576 bottles) to Convoy of Hope for distribution. During times like this, water is one of the biggest needs along with dried food. An additional truckload of water is positioned and available when needed.
The first truckload of supplies left Convoy of Hope’s World Distribution Center in MO yesterday morning, headed for North Carolina with a team of volunteers. In addition to water, the truck contains food, generators and other relief items that will be pre-positioned just outside of the hurricane’s path. Water and supplies will be distributed to storm survivors, volunteers and first responders.
Our partnership with Convoy of Hope provides the ability for immediate response within disaster areas due to their government and FEMA relationships allowing relief supplies to reach those in need as soon as possible.
