The Culligan dealership in Wheeling, Illinois continues to stay actively involved in the local community by participating in local non-profit events.
This June, the Culligan of Wheeling, Illinois, team was proud to support the Wheeling Fire Department's annual Camp "I Am Me". The camp provides a fun, safe environment for child burn survivors to bond with other survivors all while enjoying the best parts about summer camp.
“I Am Me” Camp is run through the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1982 dedicated to fire safety, burn prevention, and supporting burn survivors.
The “I Am Me” Camp is like every ordinary camp with a large variety of outdoor activities but the main difference is that this camp provides a safe, non-judgmental environment for children to have the opportunity to build their self-esteem as they enjoy the varied activities that make up their camp experience.
Jim Bosh, an Operations Manager from Culligan of Wheeling has been with the dealership for 3 years, but the dealership’s support of this camp has stretched even years before he arrived at the dealership. Each year it has been typical for the dealership to donate 5-gallon jugs to support the staff and campers but extended their help this year by donating cases of bottled water which were needed. According to Bosh, “our dealership always steps up to help when there is a need.”
Culligan of Wheeling takes pride in supporting the “I Am Me” camp and other local charities because the impact is so close to home and hopes to continue participating in events like this in the future.
