On August 8th, local Culligan dealer, Culligan of North West Arkansas donated 30 Cases of 16.9oz bottles of water to the Bentonville Tour de Cure race in an effort to keep participants hydrated and to encourage a healthy lifestyle through clean water.
“It’s no secret that the beverages you drink effect your overall health,” said Scott Chaney, General Manager, Culligan of NWA. “Water has always been a safe and healthy option. Through our support of the American Diabetes Association, we hope to help educate and motivate people to adopt helpful habits to reduce the impact of obesity and type 2 diabetes.”
Over 400 people came out to the Bentonville Tour de Cure event on Saturday to support the American Diabetes Association. The Tour de Cure is the largest cycling event for diabetes in the country. Each year, nearly 50,000 people participate in Tour de Cure events in 80 cities across the county, raising nearly $30 million dollars to support the mission. The event is a unique opportunity for businesses, clubs, friends and families to come together to form teams with a vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens.
In addition to donating water, Culligan of NWA hosted a booth during the Tour de Cure festival. Visitors to the Culligan Water tent had an opportunity to learn how they can ensure the water they drink is clean and safe through water testing and the variety of solutions Culligan offers.
