Culligan Aids in Fort McMurray Wildfires

Fort McMurray WildfiresA vast, intense wildfire that has forced more than 88,000 people to flee the Canadian oil city of Fort McMurray has been spreading and now threatens the local airport and engulfing more communities.

More than 1,600 homes and buildings have already been destroyed by the "heartbreaking" blaze, which has turned skies blood-red and rained ash on residents fleeing on crowded highways. More than 18,500 acres have already been scorched.

The entire province of Alberta was under a state of emergency early Thursday as crews frantically battled wind-whipped flames that were heading towards more homes.

Our Culligan dealers in the area have been working tirelessly to provide clean water to Emergency Services and those in need.

One Culligan tractor trailer full of ice and water was dispatched from Edmonton to Fort McMurray and another truck filled with 20,000 bottles of water helped those stranded on Highway 63.

In addition, Culligan dealers across North America and Culligan International continue to contribute water in order to assist the devastated residents of Fort McMurray.

Fort McMurray has counted on Culligan for its water treatment for years, and Culligan is committed to supporting them during this difficult time.
