Convoy of Hope is an organization we at culligan International hold near and dear to our hearts. With the recent devastation in the Philippines from Typhoon Haiyan, we continue to stand by its side, providing bottled water to help with relief efforts.
Relief efforts in the Philippines have been underway since the typhoon struck earlier this month. Confoy of Hope, which was founded in 1994, has a long history as a first responder in times of natural disasters and has been a Four Star Sharity as recognized by Charity Navigator for nine consecutive years.
According to Convoy of Hope, Super Typhoon Haiyan is billed as one of the most powerful storms to ever make landfall in recorded history, being compared to a strong Category 5 hurricane. Seven million people have been directly affected.
At Culligan, we support the good work done by Convoy of Hope to help ensure people have access to drinking water in the event of a disaster and year round. The water benefits not only those displaced by the storm, but also first responders and volunteers.
