Culligan Cares and Zip Donate $75,000 for Australian Wildfires

The recent bushfires in Australia have been some of the worst in history. Not only have these fires devastated communities, they’ve also uprooted families and wildlife, destroyed livelihoods, and taken lives. In partnership with our team at Zip, Culligan Cares is donating $75,000 to the Australian Red Cross to help those affected by the horrible fires that continue to rage.

Water Well Trust Completes Third Well Project Funded by Culligan Cares

The Water Well Trust, the national nonprofit helping low income Americans get access to a clean, safe water supply, has completed its third water well project funded by a Culligan Cares donation. The latest Culligan Cares project was completed for a single mother in Georgia with four dependent children, ages 8 to 17. The family had been living without access to water for over a year. Work on the new well was completed on February 5, 2019.

Preparing for Hurricane Florence Response

As Hurricane Florence remains a Category 3 storm and is expected to produce catastrophic flooding and damage from wind speeds exceeding 74 mph, Culligan Cares is ready to help.  In preparation, Culligan has provided 2 truckloads of water, which contain 3,024 cases (72,576 bottles) to Convoy of Hope for distribution.  During times like this, water is one of the biggest needs along with dried food.  An additional truckload of water is positioned and available when needed.

Hurricane Harvey has broken the all-time Texas rainfall record from a tropical storm or hurricane according to the National Weather Service. Hurricane Harvey could dump as much as 50 inches of rain on parts of Texas.  One of the basic needs for both the victims of Hurricane Harvey and first responders is clean, safe drinking water. Culligan has a shipment of bottled water on its way to the Culligan dealership in Victoria, TX for distribution. Culligan Responds to West Virginia Flooding

Culligan is partnering with Convoy of Hope to respond to flooding in West Virginia where the state has declared a state of emergency in 44 counties and at least 23 people have lost their lives. Culligan has donated over 140,000 bottles of water that will be distributed through Convoy of Hope as they have the accessibility through FEMA to reach those most critically in need. A vast, intense wildfire that has forced more than 88,000 people to flee the Canadian oil city of Fort McMurray has been spreading and now threatens the local airport and engulfing more communities.
More than 1,600 homes and buildings have already been destroyed by the "heartbreaking" blaze, which has turned skies blood-red and rained ash on residents fleeing on crowded highways. More than 18,500 acres have already been scorched.

Culligan of Flint, local provider of water quality treatment, will deliver 1,000 faucet mount filters to the Flint Red Cross on behalf of Culligan International today. The filters are certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA) to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) standards to meet adsorption and filtration standards for lead reduction. Kitzman’s Culligan Water of Morro Bay, CA Making a Difference in Uganda

Kitzman’s Culligan partnered with Lifewater International to bring safe water to a community in northern Uganda in desperate need of safe and accessible water.  Through local fundraising, Kitzman’s Culligan raised a total of $18,000.  For every dollar raised, Kitzman’s Culligan tripled the donation.  The funds were used to fund the drilling of two deep wells which provide a safe water source.
